Last day of 2010

Its the last day of the year 2010..A new year is coming by with new challenges, new stories and more exciting events in 2011...But am i ready?

My mind is blank..should i continue in the current situation and learn to grow from it? can i do it?is this wat i want?

Pain and Suffering

Jojo last week had a "aunty" visiting her again. Whole house was stained almost everywhere she sat or stand. She was also not eating well..thought she was not feeling well..Did not really understand her suffering till yesterday when i had my "aunty" visited me too..We both had irregular visit. So when it came, it is so pain and cramp and heavy (especially for me)..
Food was not our first piriority then. Lethargic was what we both felt. At least she did not had to wait up in the middle of the night to wash clothes and change. That a advantage for her for she had no clothes on. But it must be so painful and cold for her. For I had my longs pants on yet my legs still felt cold and like breaking.

Lucky it lasted few day for her..Now she is eating well again. But recently seems to feel something near her chest and lung. Will continue to observe. Hopefully she is good.

Demise of Singapore GReat Mother - Mdm Kwa Geok Choo

The wonderful, humble, mother of Singapore Prime Minister - Mdm Kwa Geok Choo has passed away. Passing at the age of 89, leaving behind MM Lee and 3 other children.

Though she was very intelligent, she chose to remain the woman behind a successful man so that he could continue with his passion - Love for Singapore. She would be the main pillar, supporting MM Lee in her way and loving the children in her traditional way. She was the model of all modern Woman. She could have chosen to be in the grand stand like her hubby but instead she chose to remain humble and quiet, always walking 2 steps behind him. Which woman would do that nowadays?

Rest in peace , mother of Singapore.

Family Day

Today is my office Family Day. We celebrated at the Singapore Zoo this year. It was a fun, happy, excited, sad and fickle minded weather day

Fun - everybody put everything down and got the whole family to came in together. Parents, Children, young couple. It was a beautiful sight seeing 3 Generation attending Corporate Event.

Happy n Excited - get to go in for Free with unlimited free Tram ride. I was so excited. As the lunch provided was my favourite : KFC ( but it didnt turn out so nice, oil was already seeping out and turned cold) However, I get to see all the animals - Sea lion, sea seal, elephant, giraffe, baboons and many many

Sad - I brought along the Digital Camera, planning to take wonderful "wne xin" sight but then realised that I didnt brought along the memory card. Was super sad and angry with myself
Also wished we could brought JoJo along as she was part of our small family..

Fickle minded Day - Was super super Hot and Heaty plus "Hip" then the next moment it rain.

However, overall was nice and thanks to Sandy and the rest of the CHR team.

Dear Mr. Minister Mentor Lee, hereby wishing you speedy recovery. May all the positive forces be with you, may you be healthy and strong.

Without you, there will be no Singapore today. Without you, I will not have a HDB Flat to call my home, without you, we will have no education, without you, we will not have "the little red dot" yet big name heard by most of the people in the world..

JoJo Health

Jojo these few days seems to be having not so good appetite..She is not eating the usual portion of food we giving her. But when we gave her our food, she do eat. Wondering what happen to her. Being observing her, gave her milk as worried she might be having toothache, she sips a few then ignore it. Gave her our food, vege bun, she ate a few mouthful then walk away..Had to even sit down and ate with her, coax her its nice, create the "Szz..Szz...nice...then she ate a few more..

All these only after bring her for the long walk. Did she caught a cold? Did she step on "anything"..

After 2 days, today she is eating better..Also tried to put medicine on her right ears where she tried to bite me for I guess it was too "Shouk" (painful}..

Brought Jojo for her Longest morning walk

Yesterday, 25 Sep 2010, brought Jojo for her longest morning walk...We walked from my house, cross the flyover to punggol edgefield and cut across the big field where some motorised flyer guys were doing their practice then cross punggol area opp punggol plaza and past by 133, thereafter cross the overhead bridge back to rivervale crescent and back home. She was so excited and walk so fast in the first 3km..Surprisingly for first time,she never keep on crossing the path which she used to do so..She just went straight..she walk so fast till i had to keep up to her pace..But nothing can hide one's age..Guess is either she is old or we seldom brought her out...she slows down when we were like 3/4 of the trip..But she still appears so happy..She don't even mind crossing pools of muds..

When we finally reach home and after cleaning her and drinking lots of water, she begins to slouch and fell asleep in fast quiet moments...Guess she must be happy and tired...

On thought of that, so long never bring her to the seaside, should plan to do so one day. Hope it will not be too late like the movie " 10 promises to my dog"

Exams and Jojo, my past few months Adrenalin of a monatous life

Having my last 2nd and 3rd final paper, then one more paper plus one project..then I will be "Specialist in Supply Chain Management" HAHAHAHA...looking forward for my graduation then i can have excuse to go Europe as graduation trip...

Jojo has been good and fine since the last slight unhealthy state..Guess she just want to spend more time with us...Lots of people whom have seen her commented: Are u sure she is oredi 12yrs old? She is so active!!" Guess it has to do with her background for she was born to a schnauzer and jack russell parents lei...Its in her blood..

She just had a dream during one of her short nap..She was barking in small murpled tone...Ha ha...She is really a companion...sometimes an entertainer..I hate it yet enjoyed her crouching into our bed with us during our "Air-conditioned" days..She really know how to choose the right spot..She will even snip on us when we asked her to shift for she was lying on our blanket...Cute but ugly monster..Green eyes monstor my tenant used to call her..

Health Condition of Jojo

Yesterday, we felt a lump in Jojo near to stomach area..was so worried for she has been occasionally vomiting, not eating at times..Worried her health was deteriorating after all she is already 12years old. Considerably old for her age and size. But she is always been putting aside her health and still play with us. The day before I was still playing football with her..The thought of her suffering in pain silently really pain us.

So today we decided not to wait and brought her to see the vet..$395 dollars for blood test ans X ray and was relieved that her health condition is consider good as compare of the rest of the dog whom usually have bladder problem (thanks to derick for cleaning her poops and peeps and bearing with her even she shoot out of range, ha) JoJo need not control her bladder till we reach home late and she can pee and poop anytime she love to.. However, the vet did not detect what was the lump as it was not reflected in the x ray nor blood test..So she will be under anti biotics and anti inflammation for the next 3 days.. Size of the lump has to be observed too..Both oral and external anti inflammation are prescribed.

Lets pray for Jojo recovery whom has been a strong girl..But if the day has come and she needs to go, we will have to decide to let her go without much suffering..Hope she can find another happiness in another life and be born as a human beings not dog or animal..

Exams...Stress

Am going for my first exam after 7years since last course..However this time i am really on part time..Tough man..working and studying at the same time..Will definitely survived..Stay Focus!!!

Life is short..Work is part of us not we are part of work

Our GCOO, Dr.Wong has passed away after suffering from massive 2nd stroke within a year and extended on life support equipment..Age at 50, leaving behind wife and 2 teenage girls. Could he have over worked? could he have been better off if he didnt had so much load on his shoulder?

Heard also this is the 2nd Cs level staff that had demise in SGH..Guess work load is very heavy and too fast paced...They are always taking care of others but not themselves..

Morale of the story to Janice and to all, learn to say no, learn to stop and rest when needed and learn to take joy in all and work at your own pace...

Peace Homage

Yesterday was vesak day. Did 3 steps 1 bow with hubby for first time, it was self satisfying and tiring at the same time. For it was almost 10years ago that i last did it. However it feels great to persist and complete it without missing a steps or bow. Hope to do it again. Have to be grateful to the body for without it i will not be able to complete it too..Thanks body and thanks to hubby who inspire me to persist on. Happy vesak day..

Aging and Sickness

My most beloved grandfather is in Hospital again..Yes again. Due to bloat of stomach and unable to do business, both big and small.

In my memory, he was always eating those traditional food like: Pek dou her (super smelly for those who dont eat fish), loh thng (braised for weeks chinese bacon meat)..Guess what must really take care and listen to the body before it gave up. Just like my hubby whom was attacked by acute gout and arithitis 3 weeks ago. It was so painful for him that his eyes was in tears..Cant lift up leg at all, cant sit down, cant bent, cant go toilet, not even the sitting ones, swells and inflammanted.

As the Buddha teaching goes, one must always look inside and look outside for healing. Look inside, reflect, listen to your body and you shall be healed

Distance makes one fonder

My dearest hubby has flew off last night to Hundary and will be away for 1 week. Now i have starts to miss him. Since we married and move in to stay together, we have never being separated from each other for so long. WE have always being doing things together and seeing each other 24*7*365 days...OMG...think of it, distance really makes one fonder. ..only then we felt the absence and the needs for him / her to be around..We will then appreciate each other more.

On the other hand, lucky for first time he is only going for 1 week hahah...if first time goes 1 year..think i will cry like anything...but also must hold back for it is for his own good.

God bless him there and come back safe and sound.

Another year has past

Just "celebrated" my 34th years old birthday..When we are yound, we look forward to people celebrating for us. As years goes by, guess when people remembers, it becomes a blessing. As we counts the blessing, we also counts all days of glory, memories and healthy. Guess 34yrs old for a man is only a beginning but for a woman it seems golden days are gone and one needs to slow down for other things in life.However, it it seems shocking and comforting at the same time for parents to hear that their girl has grown up and they are getting older.

Yes, changing focus in life..tat should be the key word for me to consider and work on. Career? Family? Health? Finance? Kids?

Today is also the actual Qing Ming where one pays respect to the elder whom had slogged hard for our future and passed away. One must always learn to Ying Shui Shi Yuan.We must know our roots and not forgetting what our forefathers had fight for us

Regrets..

Few days ago, the most famous director of Singapore, Jack Neo was exposed with an affair. And the affair was exposed by the victim herself, a 22years model. Today both Jack and his wife stand out to hold a press conference

Regret was written all over the face of Jack Neo but through out the press conference, it reflects the strong point of his wife knowing when to act blur in the right moments. If she had create a fuss and a scene..things will turn out on the winning side of the young model whom had intended to. But in opposition, the wife behaviour allows Jack to love the wife even more...Also it shows the loyalty of friendship from a low educated person (ah nam)

Rain finally came after months of dryness in Singapore. It was the first time that one can sense the happiness of almost all Singaporean. The kind of happiness was like farmers seeing rain after months of praying for good rain for their dying crops...We can really felt the global warming in Singapore already. Forest on Fire were usually a scene occurring in mid year..now it has been brought forward few months earlier. Does one already feel regrets not taking care of our beautiful world or are they still indulge in the convenience of using disposable cutlery? Sad and regrets..

First time in my life I received an un-address envelope in our letter box. Filled with a piece of hell note with the back written Lim Wee Leong S79xxxxxx (cant remember)#11-623 O $ P $. Called the police immediately whom my hubby give his statement. Does the person feels regretful for whatever reason? Lose IC, help friend being guarantor, really borrow $ from loan sharks and shame the family? Does the loan sharks feel regretful too after all these acts and worried being caught?

Watch Channel U variety shows whom brings star back to their hometown. Today was the last episode and shows part 2 of Guo Liang (a famous local co host) to Shanghai. Todays shows his regret of missing out his favorite grandparents funderal and live in the lifetime of regrets and missed days.

Ohe can only live with his clear conscience daily in order not to be regretful. But who on this earth has not regrets?

Chinese New Year (Tiger Year 14 Feb 2010)

There seems to be an improved of economic. Everywhere there are lots of commotion, be it at the Supermarket, on the road, wet markets, shopping centre etc...

However, it seems so cold in the office..In the past used to help out at my mum's Josspaper shop.And every year I will complain non stop and grumble for wasting my annual leave to help and why not my brothers. Also complain about no time to go visit the "hot place - China town"..now I am missing all those days.. Without all the praying and chinese custom, Chinese New Year no longer feel like Chinese Festive...Kids nowadays will not know what are the custom being practiced as their parents no longer pray or practices the customary due to the working life of modern family and also some of them had converted to other religious which dun even celebrate CNY...SAD...

No worries... I will try to preach what i know and follow as we are Chinese after all, isn't it?

Eventful yet tiring day to start the year

Just 3rd day of the year, both me and husband are already burnt out in both energy and strength from all the running around for my brother new house and cleaning up our "pig style" house,buying stuffs, fixing up all the DIY stuff from IKEA, visiting far distance relatives, friends and relatives. Draining both mentality and financially. Overall, tiring yet good experience and definitely a good start. Clean fresh slef statisfying but kinda tired.

Tomorrow, my hubby Derick is finally starting his class. He is taking up NITEC class in IT at ITE Machperson. Hopefully in Mar, his class in poly will start too. That will for sure be a the best news of the year. JIA YOU Lao Gong..I will for sure go all way to support you.JIA YOU Jia You...

Janice you too have to JIA YOU even more. You have been promoted to the next grade and for sure expected to give more to the company and the team. You will for sure be the best Sourcing Asst in the Healthcare industry. Jia You!!!!
